Legend Brewing Co., Richmond, VA, 11% abv

Aroma: Deep maltiness on the nose, with a hint of caramel. There aren’t any hops to the aroma.

Appearance: Deep reddish-brown in color, with a decent carbonation. It raised a pale colored head of small bubbles that fell leaving a film of bubbles over the head.

Flavor: Heavy malty sweetness with no noticeable hops. It is very sweet, but doesn’t show much heat from the high alcohol content.

Mouthfeel: Very heavy on the palate, with a near cloying sense on the tongue. There is a light carbonation, giving it a velvety feel.

Overall Impression: This is a very good brew. It is heavy, high in alcohol, and light on hops. This is one of the true heavyweights of the brewing world.
